1. Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Tiny Bits Ltd ("Tiny Bits", "we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16882060), with its registered office at 61 Bridge Street, Kington, HR5 3DJ, United Kingdom. By installing or using Tiny Pad, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use Tiny Pad.
2. What Tiny Pad Is
Tiny Pad is a wireless input application consisting of a server component for your computer (Linux, macOS, or Windows) and a client app for your iPhone or iPad. It allows you to use your iPhone as a touchpad, pointer, gamepad, or drawing tablet over your local network. Tiny Pad operates entirely on your local network using DTLS-PSK encryption. It does not connect to the internet, does not require user accounts, and does not collect or transmit any data to Tiny Bits or third parties. See our Privacy Policy for details.
3. License
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use Tiny Pad on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms. This license covers both the server application and the iOS client as a combined product. You do not acquire ownership of Tiny Pad or any intellectual property rights beyond what is granted here.
4. Restrictions
You may not: • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble Tiny Pad, except as permitted by applicable law • Copy, distribute, sell, resell, rent, lease, or lend Tiny Pad • Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices • Create derivative works based on Tiny Pad • Use Tiny Pad for any purpose that violates applicable law
5. Acceptable Use
Tiny Pad injects input (mouse, keyboard, pen, gamepad) on a target computer. You agree to: • Only install the Tiny Pad server on computers you own or have explicit authorisation to control • Only use Tiny Pad to send input to devices where you have the device owner's consent • Not use Tiny Pad to perform unauthorised actions on any system • Comply with all applicable laws when using Tiny Pad
6. Input Injection Disclaimer
Tiny Pad sends input events (mouse movements, keyboard presses, pen strokes, gamepad actions) to your computer exactly as instructed by the client app. You are solely responsible for all input sent through Tiny Pad and any consequences of that input. Tiny Bits is not responsible for unintended actions, data loss, or system changes caused by input injected through Tiny Pad.
7. Local Network Security
Tiny Pad encrypts all communication between your devices using DTLS-PSK with AES-128-GCM. However, the security of your connection also depends on your local network configuration. Tiny Pad does not secure the underlying network itself. You should not use Tiny Pad over untrusted or public networks without understanding the risks.
8. Intellectual Property
Tiny Pad and all associated intellectual property rights (including copyright, trademarks, and trade secrets) are owned by Tiny Bits Ltd. This license does not transfer any ownership rights to you. Tiny Pad includes third-party open-source components. Their licenses are listed in the server application's About screen.
9. Payments
If you purchase Tiny Pad through the Apple App Store, your purchase is processed by Apple and subject to Apple's terms of service. Tiny Bits does not process payments directly. Refunds are handled according to Apple's refund policies.
10. High-Risk Activities
Tiny Pad is not designed for use in situations where software failure could lead to death, personal injury, or severe property or environmental damage. Do not use Tiny Pad to control critical infrastructure, medical equipment, industrial machinery, or any system where input errors or latency could have serious consequences.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
Tiny Pad is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that Tiny Pad will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with all devices and configurations. We make no guarantees regarding input accuracy, latency, or device compatibility.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Tiny Bits shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to Tiny Pad shall not exceed the amount you paid for Tiny Pad in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tiny Bits, its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of Tiny Pad, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
14. Termination
You may terminate this agreement at any time by uninstalling Tiny Pad from all your devices. We may terminate or suspend your license if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, you must stop using Tiny Pad and delete all copies. Sections 6, 8, 11, 12, 13, and 16 survive termination.
15. Export Control
Tiny Pad uses DTLS encryption and may be subject to export control regulations. You agree not to export or re-export Tiny Pad in violation of applicable export laws, including United Kingdom export controls and, where applicable, US Export Administration Regulations.
16. Governing Law

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you retain any mandatory protections provided by the laws of your country of residence.
